(8.24.09) -- If you have wondered why Barack Obama's Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel said "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste" as the USA's economy plummeted to unbearable depths, let Glenn Beck introduce you to the infamous Cloward-Piven Strategy.

Left-wing radicals and community organizer types love the Cloward-Piven strategy.

Beck discusses the issue with former Democratic pollster Pat Caddell.

Government Propaganda To Infest Network TV Shows

Obama to control your television; brainwashing will be “organically” woven into plots and storylines all next week

Government Propaganda To Infest Network TV Shows 151009top2

An insidious brainwashing program set to be launched next week will “organically” weave the government’s political propaganda into prime time network television shows, with positive talking points about Obama’s environmental, bailout, health care and “servitude” agenda being seamlessly integrated into the content of dramas, reality shows and comedies.

Under the auspices of a program run by the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF), network TV shows will be used to promote “service and volunteerism” on behalf of the public as part of a “week-long of television programming on all four leading broadcast networks – ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, and all affiliated broadcast and cable properties as well, and other networks, beginning October 19.”

According to the EIF press release, “Network shows that will feature volunteerism in some way during the week of Oct 19th,” include the following.

ABC
All My Children, America’s Funniest Home Videos, Brothers and Sisters, Castle, Cougar Town, Dancing With The Stars, Desperate Housewives, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Flash Forward, General Hospital, Good Morning America, Grey’s Anatomy, Hank, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Modern Family, One Life To Live, Private Practice, The Forgotten, The Middle, The View, Ugly Betty

CBS
Cold Case, Criminal Minds, CSI: Miami, CSI: NY, Gary Unmarried, Ghost Whisperer, Numb3rs

FOX
America’s Most Wanted, Bones, Brothers, COPS, So You Think You Can Dance, Til Death

NBC
30 Rock, Access Hollywood, Community, Days of Our Lives, Heroes, Parks and Recreation, The Biggest Loser, The Office, Today Show

Despite the fact that this was announced back in September, a new investigation by John Nolte has revealed all kinds of surreptitious connections that give a solid indication of what we can expect to be promoted by the TV shows that will effectively be under government control from Monday onwards.

Not only will program makers prostrate themselves to push Obama’s lies about health care, banker bailouts, global warming and creepy public service programs that border on mandatory volunteerism, but they will also lead unsuspecting victims of their brainwashing into the arms of groups like Planned Parenthood.

“Doing the work the Kamikaze Media (many of whom are participating in this event rather than digging for the story) refuses, and with the help of Big Government’s Dana Loesch, Patrick and Stage Right have discovered that when it comes to this White House – whether it’s the NEA conference calls or EIF’s iParticipate programming — all roads funnel into one place: online volunteer portals, including Serve.gov, where if you plug in “health care” all kinds of Planned Parenthood openings pop up along with a video dispelling those ugly “myths” knocking ObamaCare,” writes Nolte.

As a subsequent Big Hollywood report points out, the websites being promoted by the “I Participate” campaign are little more than gateways to organizations like Planned Parenthood and their slice of Obama’s health care agenda, “reproductive freedom,” otherwise known as abortion, otherwise known as killing babies.

Since the websites that act as gateways for Planned Parenthood are being pushed on shows like So You Think You Can Dance, which is popular with teenage girls, the agenda is clear.

“As I said, my nine-year-old daughter loves “So You Think You Can Dance.” My wife and I are very careful. We watch the show first and record it via DVR. Then, the next day, if any of the dances are a bit risqué’ we skip through them,” writes Stage Right. “Of course we skip through the commercials because they are often too adult for her. I suppose the week of October 19th we’re going to have to skip most of the shows lest she be encouraged to go to a website promoting an abortion clinic.”

The website also leads to an instructional video about how to regurgitate Obama’s talking points on health care. Watch below.

“This nifty bit of propaganda encourages you to troll on blogs and leave comments, call in to talk radio shows and generally be annoying when people discuss ObamaCare by injecting Administration talking points found on AARP’s web page under the Orwellian header ”Myths vs. Facts,” reports Stage Right.

Another item that is just a quick search away from the website that will be pushed on network TV next week encourages people to become ‘Global Warming Ambassadors’ for the National Wildlife Fund, which is a firm supporter of Obama’s Cap and Trade agenda.

This isn’t the first time the corporate networks have prostituted their integrity and handed over control of their content to the Obama administration. Back in June, ABC News mimicked the likes of Communist China and North Korea by completely turning its news coverage over to the government and excluding any dissenting opinions to promote President Obama’s health care agenda.

Indeed, Rupert Murdoch’s Twentieth Century Fox corporation has admitted to planting political brainwashing within its globally popular TV shows and indeed boasts that it is proud of the fact. A corporate video shows Fox executives and stars of its universally recognized shows bragging about how they use the platform of hit shows that are broadcast worldwide to implant messages about the supposed threat of global warming. Watch below.

If all this wasn’t disturbing enough, one of the “I Paticipate” initiative’s main protagonists is none other than Ashton Kutcher, who along with Demi Moore produced one of the creepiest You Tube videos ever made, in which celebrities pledge their servitude to Barack Obama and encourage everyone to do the same as they repeat mantras with cult-like zeal.

Who remember’s this one?

The fact that corporate TV outlets are openly writing scripts and editing content to incorporate government propaganda, added to the fact that they act like this is some kind of wonderful service to the American people, is a damning indictment of just how deep the alphabet soup networks are in the pocket of the establishment.

It also underscores exactly why they are losing viewers to the Internet and alternative media at an alarming speed while hypocritically attacking the alternative media for being untrustworthy.

We’ll leave it to the reader to decide for themselves. Who’s the most trustworthy? The muckraking blogger or the legions of corporate media whores who brazenly hand over their editorial control to the government and then celebrate the fact as if it’s a major achievement?

Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals"

It is common belief among Conservatives that Alinsky's 'Rules for Radicals' have been employed by leftist organizations since they were published in 1971. Although they can be quite effective, they suggest a departure from integrity and conscience, with an 'ends justifies the means' framework, producing a 'win at all costs' mentality and unprincipled fights.

Rules for Radicals: A Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals (copyrighted as Rules for Radicals: A Practical Primer for Realistic Radicals) is the last book written by community organizer Saul D. Alinsky before his death in 1972. Published in 1971, it was Alinsky's attempt to impart his theory and methods of organizing to the current generation of young activists, largely drawing upon his own experiences.

Alinsky wrote in the book's prologue:

"What I have to say in this book is not the arrogance of unsolicited advice. It is the experience and counsel that so many young people have questioned me about through all-night sessions on hundreds of campuses in America. It is for those young radicals who are committed to the fight, committed to life." In the first chapter's opening paragraph, Alinsky writes, "What follows is for those who want to change the world from what it is to what they believe it should be. The Prince was written by Machiavelli for the Haves on how to hold power. Rules for Radicals is written for the Have-Nots on how to take it away".[1]

Outlining his strategy in organizing Alinsky writes:

"There's another reason for working inside the system. Dostoevski said that taking a new step is what people fear most. Any revolutionary change must be preceded by a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward change among the mass of our people. They must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and change the future. This acceptance is the reformation essential to any revolution. To bring on this reformation requires that the organizer work inside the system, among not only the middle class but the 40 per cent of American families – more than seventy million people – whose income range from $5,000 to $10,000 a year [in 1971]. They cannot be dismissed by labeling them blue collar or hard hat. They will not continue to be relatively passive and slightly challenging. If we fail to communicate with them, if we don't encourage them to form alliances with us, they will move to the right. Maybe they will anyway, but let's not let it happen by default."[2]

Alinsky codified and wrote a clear set of rules[3] for community organizing. His rules for radicals are now used as key tactics to learn in the training of new community organizers.

Alinsky's rules include:
  • "Wherever possible go outside the experience of the enemy. Here you want to cause confusion, fear and retreat."

  • "Make the enemy live up to his/her own book of rules. You can kill them with this. They can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity."

  • "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also, it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage."

  • "The threat is generally more terrifying than the thing itself."

  • "In a fight almost anything goes. It almost reaches the point where you stop to apologize if a chance blow lands above the belt."

  • "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it." (Think Gingrich, Lott and the success of name-calling used by the likes of Bill Clinton, Paul Begala, James Carville, Maxine Waters and others against conservatives and Republicans. Think of how Clinton "enemies" like Paula Jones or Linda Tripp were treated.)

  • "One of the criteria for picking the target is the target's vulnerability ... the other important point in the choosing of a target is that it must be a personification, not something general and abstract." (Trent Lott comes to mind. Meanwhile, a former Klansman by the name of Sen. Robert Byrd got away with saying "nigger" on Fox News at least three times, and he still maintains his Senate seat and power.)

  • "The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength." For instance, Democrats imply conservatives are racists or that Republicans want to kill senior citizens by limiting the growth of the Medicare system, they imply Republicans want to deny kids lunch money without offering real proof. These red-herring tactics work.

10 Planks of Communism

10 Planks of Communism

Karl Marx describes in his communist manifesto, the ten steps necessary to destroy a free enterprise system and replace it with a system of omnipotent government power, so as to effect a communist socialist state. Following are the original ten planks within the Communist Manifesto written by Karl Marx in 1848, followed by a discussion of how America has adopted each of the planks.

1. Abolition of private property and the application of all rent to public purpose.

The courts have interpreted the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution (1868) to give the government far more "eminent domain" power than was originally intended. Under the rubric of "eminent domain" and various zoning regulations, land use regulations by the Bureau of Land Management property taxes, and "environmental" excuses, private property rights have become very diluted. As a result, private property in lands, vehicles, and other forms are seized almost every day in this country under the "forfeiture" provisions of the RICO statutes and the so-called War on Drugs. Private owners of property are required to get permission from government relative to the use of their property.

2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.

The 16th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, 1913 (which some scholars maintain was never properly ratified), the Social Security Act of 1936, Joint House Resolution 192 of 1933, and various State income taxes established this major Marxist coup in the United States many decades ago. These taxes continue to drain the lifeblood out of the American economy and greatly reduce the accumulation of desperately needed capital for future growth, business starts, job creation, and salary increases.

3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.

Another Marxist attack on private property rights is in the form of Federal & State estate taxes and other inheritance taxes, which have abolished or at least greatly diluted the right of private property owners to determine the disposition and distribution of their estates upon their death.

4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.

We call it government seizures, tax liens, "forfeiture" Public "law" 99-570 (1986); Executive order 11490, sections 1205, 2002 which gives private land to the Department of Urban Development; the imprisonment of "terrorists" and those who speak out or write against the "government" (1997 Crime/Terrorist Bill); or the IRS confiscation of property without due process.

5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.

The Federal Reserve System, created by the Federal Reserve Act of Congress in 1913, is indeed such a "national bank" and it politically manipulates interest rates and holds a monopoly on legal counterfeiting in the United States. All local banks are members of the Fed system, and are regulated by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) another privately-owned corporation. The Federal Reserve Banks issue Fiat Paper Money and practice economically destructive fractional reserve banking. This is exactly what Marx had in mind and completely fulfills this plank.

6. Centralization of the means of communication and transportation in the hands of the State.

In the U.S., communication and transportation are controlled and regulated by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) established by the Communications Act of 1934 and the Department of Transportation and the Interstate Commerce Commission (established by Congress in 1887), and the Federal Aviation Administration as well as Executive orders 11490, 10999 -- not to mention various state bureaucracies and regulations including State mandated driver's licenses. Federal Highway Act of 1916 made federal funds available to States for highway construction), the Interstate Highway System, 1944 (funding began 1956); Interstate Commerce Commission given authority by Congress to regulate trucking and carriers on inland waterways, 1935-40. There is also the federal postal monopoly, AMTRAK and CONRAIL -- outright socialist (government-owned) enterprises. Instead of free-market private enterprise in these important industries, these fields in America are semi-cartels through the governments regulatory-industrial complex.

7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State, the bringing into cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.

We call it corporate capacity, The Desert Entry Act and The Department of Agriculture. As well as the Department of Commerce and Labor, Department of Interior, the Environmental Protection Agency, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, Bureau of Mines, National Park Service, and the IRS control of business through corporate regulations. The Agriculture Adjustment Act of 1933 provided that farmers will receive government aid if and only if they relinquish control of farming activities.

8. Equal liability of all to labor. Establishment of Industrial armies, especially for agriculture.

We call it the Social Security Administration and The Department of Labor and it's seen in Minimum Wage and slave labor like dealing with our Most Favored Nation trade partner; i.e. Communist China. The National debt and inflation caused by the communal bank has caused the need for a two "income" family. Woman in the workplace since the 1920's, the 19th amendment of the U.S. Constitution, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, assorted Socialist Unions, affirmative action, the Federal Public Works Program and of course Executive order 11000. And I almost forgot...The Equal Rights Amendment means that women should do all work that men do including the military and since passage it would make women subject to the draft.

9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the population over the country.

We call it the Planning Reorganization Act of 1949 , zoning (Title 17 1910-1990) and Super Corporate Farms, as well as Executive orders 11647, 11731 (ten regions) and Public "law" 89-136. Food processing companies, with the co-operation of the Farmers Home Administration foreclosures, are buying up farms and creating "conglomerates."

10. Free education for all children in government schools. Abolition of children's factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production.

Americans are being taxed to support what we call 'public' schools, but are actually "government force-tax-funded schools " Even private schools are government regulated. The purpose is to train the young to work for the communal debt system. We also call it the Department of Education, the NEA and Outcome Based "Education". The federal influence of education is evident in "head-start" programs, school lunch programs, textbooks, and library books. Our children are being indoctrinated and inculcated with the government propaganda, like "majority rules", and "pay your fair share". WHERE are the words "fair share" in the Constitution, Bill of Rights or the Internal Revenue Code (Title 26)?? NO WHERE is "fair share" even suggested !! The philosophical concept of "fair share" comes from the Communist maxim, "From each according to their ability, to each according to their need! This concept is pure socialism.

Glenn Beck Examines 1960s Radicals Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven

Tuesday , August 25, 2009

FC1

This is a rush transcript from "Glenn Beck," August 24, 2009. This copy may not be in its final form and may be updated.

GLENN BECK, HOST: Today is day number one of a special series we're calling "New Republic." And, I mean, this is not a happy new republic; America is rapidly being transformed. And if you're like me: Hello, my name is Glenn and I was kind of addicted to the old republic.

Before we're turning to "France west" at best, I'm asking reasonable questions, although people will say that they're hateful questions. I'm going to ask them and ask as many as possible, because nothing seems to make sense.

Quite frankly, we may end up with more questions than answers this week, but until we have clear answers on why massive bills are being shoved down the throats of American people without even being read, America, do not allow these people to move any piece of legislation.

I don't believe in coincidence. When I see huge bill after huge bill after huge bill — all hurried and given the same "emergency, must pass now" label, my reaction is — whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down. Why the rush?

Clearly, this is a strategy and it is working. It is overwhelming the system. It is overwhelming Washington, it is overwhelming the media, and it's overwhelming you. It's an idea from the 1960s. There were radicals called Cloward and Piven.

Here it is in a nutshell:

BEGIN VIDEO

BECK (voice-over): The Cloward-Piven strategy in a nutshell.

Left-wing radicals Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven advance their strategy to end poverty in a May 2, 1966 article in The Nation.

Cloward-Piven starts with the idea that there is a wide gap between the entitlements that poor people are eligible for and the entitlements that they are actually collecting. They say getting everybody on to the welfare rolls will wipe out poverty and the only way to accomplish that is through a massive multi-city education campaign making heavy use of the media.

So, once the poor know that they're eligible and start to sign up, what happens next? In their own words, "a crisis." A crisis that starts in the cities that would rapidly spread to a nationwide level and force the government to move quickly to create a new program for direct income distribution: Marxism.

Wait a minute — community organizations overwhelming the system that would lead to a massive redistribution of wealth? Gee, where have I heard that before?

That's Cloward-Piven strategy in a nutshell.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

BECK: I don't know if that's true. I don't know if that's what is happening. But it makes more sense than, oh, yes, we can keep spending more money and not reading the bills.

If you think all of these unread thousand-page bills are just part of a runaway out-of-control government, I don't think it is. It's meant to overwhelm the system. I mean, how can you fight a stimulus package when there is a giant health care bill along side cap-and-trade all going full throttle at you at the same time? What happens when one or all of these massive bills pass?

I showed you the debt clock a minute ago. We can't spend anymore. Even Barack Obama admitted that much, yet here we are with trillion-plus dollar health care bills and more on the table.

Why? Why — given the risk — do you keep pushing?

According to the Cloward and Piven strategy, you do it to collapse the system, and once that system has collapsed, a new one is put in its place. Well, what system could possibly be ready to go? I don't know, but what better time — is there a better time to implement the 1960s radical ideology from scratch than when a president who has clearly said over and over again he's not a Marxist, couples himself with far left-leaning Congress and advisers who are self-proclaimed Marxists, socialists and communists?

I'm going to introduce you to a few of them here. Don't go anywhere tonight. You stay with me.

Pat Caddell is a former Democratic pollster — Democrat, a Democrat.

PAT CADDELL, FORMER DEMOCRATIC POLLSTER: I'm a liberal Democrat.

BECK: Who has taken a hard look — how are you, Pat?

CADDELL: Good to see you, Glenn.

BECK: Good to see you.

You know what? Pat, I am — I am so heartened to see a man who is a liberal Democrat, been in the party forever, come out and say, OK, wait, wait, wait, this isn't making sense on what they're saying.

Do you believe that it makes sense that they're trying to collapse the system?

CADDELL: No, I don't buy this sort of ideological part, although the conclusion may get there. I think they're flooding the zones, to use a football metaphor, I prefer that. I mean, your viewers probably understand that. Setting out so many things and nobody can cover it all.

And I got to tell you what bothers me, Glenn, which is a question that should be asked. I was with an administration, the president comes in, a new president who had not been experienced in Washington and been pent-up demands, for six months in, we were — people are still trying to find out where bathrooms were.

BECK: Right.

CADDELL: People — they have a lot of people still unemployed. Where are all these pieces and programs coming in all this kind of detail? Where do you get 1,000 pages or 1,300 pages one after the other.

BECK: One after another.

CADDELL: In such a short amount of time? I mean, I have — those are questions that somebody ought to ask because the dog is not barking here.

BECK: Well, we have asked those questions and I'm going to give you some answers here at the other half of the break, and I think you know what some of those answers are. I asked that question back in February and March. I said, this is too massive, it's too big. And the media is treating these things as if they're just magically appearing, but they're not.

CADDELL: You mean like the deficits that appeared on Friday...

(CROSSTALK)

CADDELL: And lo and behold, it was only being $2,000 billion off from what it was.

BECK: Let me may I ask you this question: People think Obama is using the unions, is it possible that it's the other way around? And I don't mean just the unions, I mean these vast organizations, that he is not necessarily the grand architect, that somebody else has sketched this out?

CADDELL: Well, I got to tell you, this question hit me today, and it's off the subject of money. But when the attorney general, Eric Holder, who I have not been publicly fond of since he decided to go in on bag with China, on the treasons and trying to buy our election during the Clinton administration and gave us Marc Rich a pardon — one of the most evil men to ever walk the face of the Earth, and was covering up. And now decides that the Black Panthers can't — you know, who carry guns into precincts should not be prosecuted. But despite the president saying we're going to move on on interrogation policy, announces he's going to have a special prosecutor today and appoints me. And I'm going, wait a minute, who's running the show here?

I mean, you got — for the first time I got to ask myself, is Barack Obama really in control — nether he is disingenuous, which I wish not to believe about the president of the United States, or maybe the question is who's really in control here? And it's time to ask that question.

BECK: What makes you say that — explain what makes you say that again?

CADDELL: He has said, my policy is — look, the attorney general is appointed by him. I mean — and by the way, confirmed by Republicans who stood there and praised him. Let's understand, this thing over here you did...

BECK: Yes.

CADDELL: ...is not one party.

BECK: Oh, I know.

CADDELL: This was everybody who did this.

BECK: Oh, yes.

CADDELL: And they're still doing it.

BECK: You wait until — I think it's on Wednesday we're doing some things on some of the framework that's been put in. It was put in by the — by the Bush administration.

(CROSSTALK)

CADDELL: Washington is corrupt. Washington has made itself the enemy of the American people is what's happening. But let me not stray off your point, which is what I said was — the president said we're going to move on. The country said, move on on the interrogation policy.

Eric Holder announces he is going to have a special prosecutor today. He's under pressure from the ACLU, from MoveOn.org, from many of the very, very, most liberal groups in my party, or I consider extreme groups in my party.

BECK: Sure.

(CROSSTALK)

BECK: Would you agree with me that there is a new Democratic Party?

(CROSSTALK)

CADDELL: There is a — I am of the Democrats of the common man. That's where I come from. This is a different Democratic Party, and hopefully, over this time, we'll have some time to talk about it.

BECK: Would you say it's revolutionary?

CADDELL: No, I would say it will — I would say it's revolutionary as much as it's elitist. It's elitist and it believes that it knows best, and it is so interconnected, and money, it has made it.

(CROSSTALK)

CADDELL: And, you know, you've got people like George Soros in the middle of it, and, you know, Rahm Emanuel.
