Napolitano bans border enforcement

October 7, 9:48 AMMacon County Conservative ExaminerRobert Moon

DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano has now officially banned any enforcement of our immigration laws by local officials.

Meanwhile, in a press release on Tuesday, October 6th, removed all doubt that the Obama Administration is officially pursuing an open borders policy that rewards those who break into our country illegally, cut in front of law-abiding immigrants, and and impose crushing burdens on our already teetering economy.

Key features:

  • The new initiative is aimed at implementing "alternatives to detention."
  • It refers to some illegal immigrants as "non-criminals" and seeks to "expand programs...including legal support services." In other words, more tax dollars are going to be spent accomodating people who spit on our laws, crowd our prisons, and bankrupt our schools...and we will now even be providing them with taxpayer-funded lawyers to help them manipulate the system and obtain amnesty.
  • Another primary objective of the program is to "enhance detainee medical care." As I have noted, this one won't even be necessary if ObamaCare is forced through.
  • It also creates yet another federal bureaucracy (the Office of Detention Policy and Planning), to "investigate detainee grievances."

Imagine Americans illegally breaking into France, marching down their streets waving our flags, demanding that they speak our language and give us handout after handout...all while smearing anyone who objects as a xenophobe and a racist.

People would be rightly outraged at our audacity. And this is the equivalent of the French government responding by bending over backwards to appease us.

It is an inexcusable betrayal of the American people.

The Obama administration's gutting of key immigration and border security programs combined with a push for amnesty legislation by the Hispanic Caucus in Congress has led to a national organization calling for Tea Parties Against Amnesty & Illegal Immigration to be held across America on Saturday, Nov. 14!

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, also known as ALIPAC, is a multi-party and multi-ethnic national organization founded on 9/11 in 2004 to oppose illegal immigration and amnesty, while supporting border security and the enforcement of our existing immigration laws.

Topics:  illegal immigration, amnesty, rally, protest, national, immigrants, aliens, path to citizenship, activism, border security, legislation

"Obama is creating an unlawful and unconstitutional Amnesty for illegal immigrants today by completely paralyzing the enforcement of our existing immigration laws." said William Gheen spokesman of ALIPAC. "By doing so he is defying the will of Congress and over 80% of America's citizens of every hue and political persuasion. He is now officially worse on immigration than Bush!"

Numerous national and local polls indicate that a super majority of Americans oppose President Obama's continuation of the Bush non-enforcement doctrine and path to citizenship agenda for illegal aliens. A recent Pulse Opinion Research, LLC, poll of 1,000 likely voters on August 26, 2009 found seventy-eight percent (78%) of likely voters were opposed to legalizing the status of the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the U.S., with only 19% supporting it!

"We have Republicans and Democrats in Washington today who are acting like a one party system, while betraying the American public in unprecedented fashion," said William Gheen. "It is time for Americans to Unite and to light up the switchboards in DC and gather in the streets and parks to demand that attempts to pass any form of Amnesty for illegal aliens cease or be defeated!"

ALIPAC's call for supporters and Tea Party organizers comes on the heels of this week's announcements by Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.) and Illinois Democrat Luis Gutierrez that Amnesty legislation will be filed by the Hispanic Caucus in Congress by the end of October.

This unpopular attempt to implement and pass Amnesty comes at a time when public anger towards Washington is at historically high levels, along with historic unemployment, underemployment, foreclosure, debt, and deficit levels.

All Americans who oppose Amnesty for illegal aliens are encouraged to visit ALIPAC's new website at www.AgainstAmnesty.com to sign up to support or organize Tea Party Rallies Against Amnesty and Illegal Immigration on November 14, 2009!

Www.AgainstAmnesty.com will be updated daily with the latest news about the push for Amnesty for illegals, new protest locations around the nation, and important tips on how to lobby lawmakers.

Call to church leaders

   From:   Roy Beck, President, NumbersUSA
Date:   Monday 12oct09     Noon

Please help educate the nation's church leaders to stop lobbying for more foreign workers

DEAR FRIENDS,

With only one major exception, virtually all Christian denominations now have national leadership calling for more foreign workers in the U.S. -- even though U.S. workers (including those in church pews) are unemployed by the millions.

This is becoming a real problem here on Capitol Hill.

You can help. See below.

At this moment, every single religious lobbyist speaking to Congress is calling for an amnesty and an increase in our million-a-year green card level for permanent foreign workers.

Friends, only the 920,000-member volunteer force of NumbersUSA can slow down this misguided religious crusade that will leave millions of Americans unemployed as a result.

I really do believe you can cause some of these religious leaders to have second thoughts about whether they have been hood-winked by the open-borders forces' call for giant increases in permanent foreign-worker permits while Americans are suffering a jobs depression.

HERE IS WHAT I ASK OF YOU:
  • (ALL OF YOU)
    Come back to your NumbersUSA Action Board every day this week and look for faxes and other actions provided for you. We will be adding faxes during the week.

  • (FOR YOU WHO ARE MEMBERS OF THE PRO-AMNESTY DENOMINATIONS LISTED AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS EMAIL)
    Please contact your national office and explain why you think your national church leaders are wrong. (You can also see the full list of denominations and contact info here.)

  • (MEMBERS OF ANY LOCAL CONGREGATION)
    Forward my blog on Church Leaders' War on Jobless Americans to your local pastor. It is important that local clergy know about the jobs issue that their national leaders are avoiding.

  • (IF YOU ARE NOT AFFILIATED WITH ANY CHURCHES) Please consider phoning or emailing the national church offices, identify yourself as an outsider and express your disappointment that the churches have banded with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in flooding the labor markets.

  • (IF YOU HAVEN'T TAKEN OUR INTEREST SURVEY)
    Please Religion Survey> click here to indicate your religious affiliation so you can see actions specific to your faith group.

Believe it or not, all these denominations are moving forward on the basis of their claim that illegal immigration occurs because we don't allow enough permanent legal immigration to deal with U.S. labor shortages.

That's right LABOR SHORTAGES!

As you can see, the church leaders have been hoodwinked by the open-borders business groups into thinking that we have a labor shortage in the middle of this deep recession!

Seriously, the church leaders need your factual help. I hope you will choose parts of the statistics below and in my blog to emphasize in all your communications with local and national church leaders.

Following are excerpts from my blog today. I hope you will read the blog in its entirety so you are better equipped with the arguments against religious leaders siding with exploitative employers in favor of foreign labor importation.

DENOMINATIONAL LEADERS TALK OF LABOR SHORTAGES AMIDST 'U-6' UNEMPLOYMENT RATE OF 17%

Now -- except for the Southern Baptist Convention -- all the country's substantial Mainline Protestant, Catholic and Evangelical denominations are endorsing huge new increases in permanent work permits for foreign workers. (Read my blog on the National Association of Evangelicals' latest dive into the pro-amnesty coalition.)

Accepted by progressives and conservatives alike as the best measure of suffering, the U-6 Unemployment Rate for everybody in the U.S. had risen to nearly 17% by mid-summer! It counts not only those actively looking for a job but discouraged workers who have recently given up looking as well as people involuntarily forced into part-time work.

* * * * * For more detail, read today's blog.

DENOMINATIONAL LEADERS PREFER ILLEGAL ALIENS OVER IMMIGRANTS ALREADY HERE

Even though the church leaders constantly talk about being kinder to the immigrants already living among us, their constant push for more and more new foreign workers to compete is harming the existing community which has a U-6 Unemployment Rate of 20%.

* * * * * For more detail, read today's blog.

CHURCH LEADERS PREFER FOREIGN WORKERS OVER U.S. HIGH SCHOOL GRADS

* * * * * For more detail, read today's blog.

CHURCH LEADERS PREFER FOREIGN WORKERS OVER YOUNG LESS-EDUCATED AMERICANS

The effect of church leaders' high-immigration advocacy is even worse for young adults trying to enter the labor market. These are the people most likely to be starting families. Hurting them means especially being just plain mean to young struggling families.

The U-6 Unemployment Rate for U.S.-born high school graduates who are between 18 and 29 is an incredible 30%.

Almost one of every three young adults with a high school degree who wants to work CAN"T FIND A FULL-TIME JOB! But the church bishops and presidents and executive directors want millions more permanent work permits for citizens of other countries -- including illegal aliens.

The inability to get a job, to hold a job or to earn a decent wage and benefits contributes heavily to low marriage rates, high rates of children without fathers in the home, to the joining of gangs and to other criminal and dependency pathologies during these formative years.

But our national church leaders ignore the mounting hardship of our young, non-college adults, lobbying for more foreign workers to compete in their occupations. The people in this high school graduate category who are hurt most by church leaders' lobbying are:

U.S.-born Hispanics (33%)
Black Americans (37%)

CHURCH LEADERS PREFER FOREIGN WORKERS OVER AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL DROPOUTS

* * * * * For more detail, read today's blog.

The U-6 Unemployment rate for U.S.-born high school drop-outs (over age 18) is 33%.

The people in this high school dropout category who are hurt most by church leaders' lobbying are:

U.S.-born Hispanics (37%)
Black Americans (42%)

CHURCH LEADERS PREFER FOREIGN WORKERS OVER AMERICAN TEENAGERS SEEKING A JOB

* * * * * For more detail, read today's blog.

In communities with high immigration, adult foreign workers typically take most of the jobs in fast-food, lawn care and other service jobs where teenagers traditionally have first learned a work ethic.

The percentage of teenagers working at all has never been lower.

The U-6 Unemployment rate for U.S.-born teens (age 16-17) is 41%.

The people in this teen category who are hurt most by church leaders' lobbying are:

U.S.-born Hispanics (48%)
Immigrants already here (55%)
Black Americans (67%)

CHURCH LEADERS HAVE ABANDONED BLACK UNDERCLASS

* * * * * For more detail, read today's blog.

Do the church leaders know that the latest government data indicate that while the economy eliminates hundreds of thousands of jobs a month, the feds are issuing around 160,000 new permanent and temporary work permits each month?

NumbersUSA since last November has advocated cutting the 160,000 as close to zero as possible. THAT would create a little more opportunity for a just society as repeatedly advocated in the Bible.

Please protect the nation's religious leaders from acting out the folly that results from their ignorance of the issues at hand. Millions upon millions of Americans without a job or barely holding on to their job are at danger if the religious crusade for amnesty and more foreign labor importation continues.

THANKS,

HERE ARE THE DENOMINATIONS THAT ARE CALLING FOR:

(a) amnesty and permanent work visas for 12-20 million illegal foreign workers and dependents
(b) a great increase in permanent work visas for additional new immigrants
