Re:  Preparedness Meeting Scheduled for Tuesday, October 27, in Downtown Hattiesburg

Hattiesburg, MS -  Hattiesburg's 912 Project will present a meeting on ‘Preparedness’ on Tuesday, October 27 at 6:30 at the Jackie Dole Sherrill Community Center in downtown Hattiesburg.

With the realty of a faltering economy before us and hurricane season at hand, it is important to learn more about how to prepare for survival in situations with power failures, food and supply shortages, etc.

We will have a speaker from the Mississippi Preparedness Project share with us some vital information on what we can do now to ensure the preparedness of our family, such as prepare and train for all foreseeable aspects of personal preparedness including political and economical problems; weather-related disasters; basic and emergency food and water storage, medical needs; equipment; local, state and nationwide communications and personal, home and community defense.

A spokesman from Oathkeepers will tell us about the organization. Oath Keepers is a non-partisan association of currently serving military, veterans, peace officers, and firefighters who will fulfill the oath sworn to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Also joining us will be William Sackett, conservative commentator from talk radio WTNI 1640 AM on the Mississippi Coast, Radio America Network, Washington, D.C. and the www.GulfcoastNews.Com Radio Network.

The 912 Project Hattiesburg, a political watchdog group with close to 400 members, was formed through conservative national talk show host, Glenn Beck’s, ‘We Surround Them’ project with the goal to help bring back accountability in government by working to educate voters about pending legislation and to rally them to contact their congressmen to demand representation.

Information on this and other upcoming events as well as issues facing our country can be found on the group website, listed below. Citizens interested in helping to effect change can register at the site.
